ISIA DESIGN CONVIVIO – Didactic experimentation: projects, scenarios and society.

ISIA DESIGN CONVIVIO revolves around the theme of “convivio” as a metaphor for knowledge that nourishes the mind, as well as the body. Inspired by the metaphor of the “banquet of wisdom” present in Dante’s Convivio, the exhibition project stages the didactic and design work of the four ISIAs in the wake of Dante’s suggestions with which the four treatises of the book are articulated. On display, therefore, it will be possible to see a selection of the most recent projects by ISIA students that relate to the themes of the treatises, showing how their design aims to improve well-being and quality of life. The four sections are: design and knowledge for all; the meaning of the project; design, research and method; the virtues of the project.

MIRKO TATTARINI  conceived the “Convivium” global concept and designed the immersive installation occupying the space of the fifteenth-century Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata in Milan, developed in collaboration with the students of the ISIA Strategic Design course in Florence.
